Bri is a passionate vinyasa and hatha yoga teacher who strongly believes that yoga is not about the poses being perfect, at all. It’s about being present and connecting the mind and body. Her practice is dedicated to creating a sequence of poses in which some may be difficult but learning to breathe and stay in the moment. Tools that we can take off the mat with us and bring into the current world. Bri finds that in the current world we’re living in it is very fast-paced and can generate a lot of stress. Bri will guide you on the mat to get you out of your mind and flow at the moment through your body. Bri’s aim is to calm the monkey mind, shifting your energy and awareness to right here and right now. Bri has a warm energy and creates an open, non-judgemental and supportive environment for all of her students.
Danielle has been teaching yoga for over 3 years, and found her passion while she was travelling abroad. First drawn to the philosophy, then to the physical poses, she found the practice of yoga was able to answer some of her big questions about life. Her inquisitiveness weaves it's way into her teaching style, as she invites you to get curious about body, breath, and movement. She advocates for a holistic approach to practising, incorporating mind, body, and spirit, plus a balance of intuition and tradition, to bring you towards the best version of yourself.
Dea was introduced to yoga from a very early age. In 2020 Dea officially became certified completing her 200 hours training with Contemporary yoga NZ. Her classes inspire to improve wellness and commit to long term health and fitness goals, they can range from being challenging or easeful mentally and physically, as well as incorporating yoga tradition with philosophy and Sanskrit. She brings an energetic, positive, humorous spirit to every practice.
I am a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher, and consider myself a lifetime student of yoga. Yoga has many physical benefits but yoga is not just an exercise. It is holistic practice which heals our body mind and soul.
In my own practice as well as in the classes I focus on mindfulness in movement and breath. My class incorporates mindful flow into asanas and awareness of breath during the flow as well as through the stillness of poses.
The class moves from gentle warm-ups to some strength building and flexibility poses and ends with a deep body relaxation and mind-calming breathing exercises (pranayam). The class leaves you feeling calm and centred and strong from outside and within.
I understand that yoga is not something we do only on the mat. It is a way of life. I try to incorporate the philosophy of yoga into the session, the awareness of which can help us in our life off-mat too.
